Along with so many other events in Harrow, there will be a service in Elliot Hall, Harrow Arts Centre on Monday evening. Several school choirs will be performing and the Worshipful Mayor of Harrow will be there. I have been invited to read some poetry which I am honoured to do and have written something especially for it.
On Tuesday afternoon, together with Carillion, the people who run Harrow libraries, I’ll be putting on an event in Stanmore library from 1.00. We’ve school children coming who will bring poetry and, hopefully, questions. I’ve invited people who were alive in WW2 or have great knowledge on the subject (and by chance, most of them are poets!) and we’ll be talking to the children, telling them what it was like to be alive in the war.
If you’re in the area on Tuesday, you’re welcome to join us, especially if you have your own reminiscences of the Holocaust.
I’ll let you know how the events went later in the week.
Hope to see some of you there.
Bye for now Judy
