Age UK Harrow are pleased to announce the refurbishment of its existing conference room facilities to transform it from a drab, boring, old 1960's room into a state-of-the-art, dynamic mult-function learning facility for the silver surfers.  Bipin Dattani, one of Age (UK)'s Trustees gave up his weekend to supervise and carry furniture up 3 floors to the Age (UK), Harrow office after the lifts stopped working. Bipin ensured that the legacy left by Mr. Richard was utilised to help Harrow's older population learn IT Skills.

The Multi-Function Room will also be used for exercise classes, socialising, health advice and other meetings. This room is an excellent example of the work Age (UK) is undertaking in Harrow.  We want to ensure that we reach out to our members and their carers and help them equip themselves for the 21st century.

As reported by the Daily Telegraph on 6th Aug 2014 :

Internet will isolate 700,000 elderly people by 2030, study warns

Age (UK) are playing its pivotal role to assist the older citizens in Harrow to overcome this potential isolation created by the increased use of the Internet.
