There is one day left until The Queen visits a school in Harrow to celebrate her Diamond Jubilee.

Her Majesty and the Duke of Edinburgh will visit Krishna Avanti School, in Camrose Avenue, Edgware, on Thursday afternoon, in celebration of her six decades on the throne.

People can join the celebrations by coming along to Camrose Avenue, between Krishna Avanti School and Burnt Oak Broadway, from 1pm onwards.

Camrose Avenue will be decorated in royal bunting and free flags will be handed out on the day. Safety barriers will be in place for ease of access, and viewing and big screens will be on display.

The royal car will drive slowly down Camrose Avenue from Burnt Oak Broadway, at around 2.45pm, so people can catch a glimpse of The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh.

During their visit, the royal couple will enjoy dance music and demonstrations from community groups and schools to showcase Harrow’s diversity.

They will also be treated to the first performance of a musical score composed for the Diamond Jubilee by former Harrow High School pupils, and performed by singers from all of Harrow’s community choirs.

The Queen will also be presented with a copy of "60 Faces of Harrow", a book by council photographer Dermot Carlin, which features royal fanatic Margaret Tyler. The Wembley resident has been collecting royal memorabilia for almost thirty years.
