A COLOURFUL carnival parade will be the highlight of an annual summer show, sponsored by the Harrow Times, next month.

The Roxeth Show, in its 33rd year, will be held on Saturday, July 9, and Sunday, July 10, with attractions such as a funfair, the Fun Dog show, quad bikes for children, Kidology dance group, food and crafts stalls and a bar.

The show is run by the Harrow and Pinner Lions, formed in 1963, which carries out charity work in the area.

The RSPCA will be running the Dog Show this year and will have information on rehoming and will provide vouchers for Identichipping and neutering.

Groups including Harrow Community Police, Scout Groups, Feltham Sea Cadets, Race for Life, Harrow Libraries, Project 5000, South Harrow Residents Association and Harrow Fuschia Society will have stalls over the weekend.

Lion President Juliette Davies said: “There are a number of fun activities available for all the family.

“We have involved as many community groups as possible and we hope the sun will be really shining for the weekend.

“The kid’s carnival, called the HA2CANDO Carnival, is always a great time as well as the Dog Show on the Sunday.

“We hope the turnout will be as good as it has been through the years. We certainly have a great time organising it, which is done throughout the year.”

The show takes place on Saturday, July 10, and Sunday, July 11, from 11am to 5pm both days at Roxeth Recreation Ground, Eastcote Road, in South Harrow. Admission is free.
