An “outstanding” nursery school has chosen to mark the start of an international football tournament by celebrating the countries involved.

In a week-long celebration from June 18 to 22, Treetops Nursery in Harrow will enjoy the beginning of the World Cup by learning about the various and diverse international cultures taking part.

Staff from the outstanding Ofsted graded nursery will encourage the children to discover the traditional foods, dress and music of the 32 countries participating in the World Cup - the children will also learn how to say “hello” in various languages, make flags, t-shirts and passports and football biscuits as well as taking part in a football training session.

Harrow Times:

Frankie Morris, nursery manager at Treetops Harrow said: “The World Cup is the perfect opportunity for our children to experience and better understand different cultures from around the globe, as well as learn about the importance of being active and healthy. It’s all part of our commitment to giving children the best start in life.

“We’re really excited for the community to come and join in on the fun, as it’s great to share what we do and receive valuable feedback from parents. We understand that it’s a huge decision for parents finding the right nursery for their children.

“It’s why we hold enrolment weeks like this so parents can take a look round our nursery, meet our friendly and experienced team and get a chance to ask all the important questions. Our nursery is in the ideal location for anyone commuting to Central London from Harrow and the surrounding area.”

The nursery in Harrow is part of the Busy Bees group, the UK’s leading provider of quality childcare.
