Cinemas are preparing to screen a special episode of a much-loved TV show in honour of an international celebration of the series.

Vue Harrow will be among those showing a never-before-seen episode of Thunderbirds in the style of the classic original.

This will go alongside two brand new episodes of the hotly-anticipated second series of its new-generational rival Thunderbirds Are Go.

The event will take place at 2pm on September 30 to commemorate International Thunderbirds Day.

It’s 52 years since Gerry Anderson’s creation first appeared on TV screens across the UK and organisers believe this special episode will be popular with fans old and new.

Those attending the screenings are encouraged to go dressed as their favourite Thunderbirds character. By taking photos and uploading them to social media, they could be in with the chance of winning a number of exclusive prizes.
