Five people – including two children – were injured when two cars collided in Harrow.

An air ambulance and four fire engines attended the scene on Cumberland Road, Stanmore, at around 6pm on Wednesday, June 15. Two fire rescue units were also called.

Crews cut the roofs from both vehicles to free three people trapped inside.

Five people – three adults and two children – were treated for multiple injuries at the scene by ambulance crews.

Some were taken to a major trauma centre in Central London while others went to a separate hospital.

Cumberland Road was closed for a period of time while the scene was cleared.

Police from the Alperton traffic office are investigating the incident.
