Four men were injured – one critically – after a car collided with a wall and burst into flames in Harrow.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which occurred on Northwick Park at approximately 4.55am on Wednesday, June 15.

Members of the public rushed to the rescue of the four occupants, pulling them from the black Volkswagen Golf shortly before it caught fire.

A 27-year-old man was taken to a west London hospital with neck and head injuries. He remains in a critical condition.

Two other men, aged 29 and 22, were treated for minor injuries at a north London hospital.

Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit at Alperton are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

They are particularly interested in hearing from a man who was filming the scene on his phone just after the crash. Police say the footage could prove vital in establishing the circumstances of the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Alperton unit on 020 8991 9555.
