CHILDREN got a taste of the working world when they dressed up as if they were going to the office – but it was all in the name of charity.
Pupils at Norbury School, Welldon Crescent, Harrow, dressed up as nurses, firefighters and their teacher to raise money for UNICEF and schools in Syria.
Meanwhile, their teachers slipped into the children's roles by dressing up in Norbury school uniform.
They created a large smiling face on the school playground out of loose change and were eager to see the finished product.
Year Two pupil Sacha said: “It was a very fun day. I got to make a face out of money with my friends and dress up for UNICEF.”
Headteacher Louise Browning said: “As a Unicef UK Rights Respecting School, we know that small voices make a big sound. “We did this with our pupils thinking, learning and being moved by the plight of other pupils across the world, especially in Syria.
“Our pupils wanted to make a difference and so the Change for Change Day was our way of sending out a big smiley face to say to the world we are thinking of you, and hope our money and commitment will help to make a difference.”
