A DANCE school took a never-seen before version of Bollywood and hip-hop to the Britain's Got Talent stage.

Sapnay School of Dance, which is based in Harrow, will be featured on the ITV show at 8pm this Saturday, May 21.

Artistic director Ash Oberoi created the dance fusion especially for the show, to push forward both dance styles into another dimension.

Ms Oberoi said: “The UK hasn’t seen anything like this before – Bollywood and hip hop together. We have seen it separately but no one has brought it together.

“Bollywood is sometimes seen as the ‘pat the dog on the head’ type of dancing but with this fusion it will show people that we have taken two different styles together and taken them both to the next level.”

Choreographers Prableen Oberoi, Del Mak and Aleksandra Papior, as well as costume designer Tahira Chaudhary and hair and make up specialist Sonya Kaur all helped prepare the team for the audition.

Ms Oberoi added she wanted people to see the potential of dance fusion.

She added: "I want people to open their minds to what dance can offer in the near future.”

The BollyWest Fusion performance will air this Saturday 21st May 2016 at 8pm onwards on ITV's Britain's Got Talent.
