St George's Day celebrations took over Pinner at the weekend.

The Rotary Club of Pinner held the event on Sunday, April 24, from 12pm in and around Pinner village High Street.

Those who attended also enjoyed a beer festival, hog roast, petting farm, jousting and a number of stalls and performers.

The entertainment included singer Gemma Turner, the Merrydowners Morris Men, the Herga Mummers, Punch and Judy and a bouncy castle.

The centrepiece of the St. George Day celebrations was Ye Olde Wheelbarrow Race - a unique Pinner event in which teams of two take it in turns to push their partner in a wheelbarrow, drink beer and race from Little Common to the High Street and into Church Green.

The Mayor of Harrow and dignitaries, led by St George on horseback, gathered near the war memorial for the ceremonial pledging of oaths by the Scouts and the Police Cadets.
