A man appeared in court today charged with murder after a Harrow pensioner died following an alleged assault.

Mohsin Manji, 44, of Kingshill Drive, Harrow, made no plea during his appearance at the Old Bailey in London.

He was charged on Wednesday, January 13, with the murder of 81-year-old Amirali Manji who died on Thursday, December 3, following an alleged assault on Sunday, November 29.

Mohsin Manji had previously been charged on Monday, November 30, with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and appeared at Hendon Magistrates' Court on the same day.

He is remanded in custody and due to appear at the Old Bailey again on April 15.
