A school choir has scooped a silver medal at an international music festival.
The North London Collegiate School Canon’s choir competed in the Llangollen International Music Eisteddfod in North Wales, which took place from July 6 to 12.
The school, based in Canons Drive, Edgware, narrowly missed out on the gold medal by just three marks, which was won by Hong Kong-based St Paul’s Educational College Primary School.
Eilir Owen Griffiths, the festival’s director of music, said: “The standard of competition was exceptionally high and we were treated to some wonderful young voices.
“Finishing second is something the children of the North London Collegiate School Canon’s Choir should be very proud of and they deserve huge credit.”
