Curry chefs will tempt the tastebuds of politicians with aromatic herbs and spices as restaurateurs go up against one another in a national competition.

Owners of South Asian restaurants in Harrow are being called upon by Harrow West MP Gareth Thomas to enter the Tiffin Cup - a national competition celebrating South Asian cookery.

MPs are allowed to nominate one restaurant from their constituency, and ten restaurants from around the country will be shortlisted.

Chefs from the final ten will be invited to take part at a ‘cook-in’ in Parliament, where MPs and celebrity judges will decide the overall winner.

Anyone who wants to nominate a restaurant, whether their own or a restaurant they frequent, should contact the MP at gareth.thomas.mp@parliament.uk by no later than 12pm on Monday, July 13.
