Dances and songs were performed as Harrow celebrated the international Mothers Language Day.
Councillors, politicians and community members joined together on Sunday, March 1 at Harrow Civic Centre for a colourful celebration to promote linguistic and cultural diversity.
Presentations, poems, dances and songs were performed at the event, from groups such as Harrow Bengalee Association and groups from Sri Lanka, Africa and India.
Husain Akhtar, who attended, said: βIt was amazing to see such a rich cultural and linguistic diversity at this well organised and attended event β I enjoyed it.β
