Ambulance crews took two elderly people to hospital today after they were hit by a car.
Paramedics were called to the junction of Church Road and Uxbridge Road in Stanmore at 11am this morning to reports of two people injured in a road traffic collision.
Two patients have been taken to a major trauma centre after suffering serious injuries in the incident.
A spokesman for London Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 11.01am to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and two pedestrians on Uxbridge Road, Stanmore.
"We treated two patients. A man reported to be in his seventies for a head injury and a woman reported to be in her seventies also for a head injury.
"They were taken as priorities to St Mary's Hospital."
