Young apple trees were blessed in a traditional service.
Trees at the Diamond Community Orchard in Hatch End were blessed in a special wassailing ceremony at the weekend, to help encourage a good harvest.
Wassailers were treated to a performance by singer Claudia Mernick, before the traditional Apple Tree Wassail Song was performed by Johnny Appleseed.
Pieces of toast soaked in cider were then placed on the branches of the apple trees which encourages birds to visit and devour any pests in the orchard.
