Walkers are being invited to a free walk to learn more about the trees of the borough.

The walk will take place around Stanmore Country Park, on Saturday November 29, and is part of the 39th National Tree Week, organised by the Tree Council.

It will be led by a warden from the park and will highlight the different species of the area and pencils and paper will be available to allow people to the draw different trees.

Those interested in taking part can meet in the Dennis Lane Car Park, at 10am and people are advised to wear walking boots.
