More trees will be planted across the borough and two new apprenticeships have been secured as part of a deal agreed this week.
Harrow Borough Council’s tree maintenance deal will mean more than £200,000 will be spent planting saplings and managing the hundreds of thousands of trees in the borough.
The council says the new deal will mean paths will be cleared and trees pruned more regularly.
The deal will also create two apprenticeships and four work experience places for school children for the duration of the four-year contract.
