The franchisee behind a drive-through restaurant applying to extend its opening hours says he wants to work with the community over concerns.
McDonald's in Shaftesbury Circus, South Harrow, recently applied to Harrow Borough Council's planning department to extend its opening hours until 2am.
Concerns have been raised by neighbours about the noise and traffic the proposals will bring.
The franchise owner Kurt Jansen said: "I can confirm that I am applying to extend our the trading hours for the drive-thru element of my restaurant on Shaftesbury Circle, South Harrow.
"I want to serve customers at the times that suits them, especially as more and more people are living outside of the nine-to-five routine.
"That being said, my main priority is to be a good and responsible neighbour and I am happy to work with any member of the local community who has any concerns about the operations of my restaurant."
