A television gardener helped pupils open a new outdoor learning area at their school on the last day of term.
Blue Peter gardener Chris Collins opened the garden at Heathland School in South Harrow which includes an outdoor classroom.
The development of the new area was supported by Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Campaign for School Gardening.
The campaign works with nearly 20,000 schools across the country as from next year horticulture will have a greater part of the National Curriculum.
