Golf day raises thousands for St Luke's Hospice

Harrow Times: Golf day raises thousands for charity Golf day raises thousands for charity

Supporters of a hospice charity got into the swing of things to raise thousands for the care of terminally ill people in the borough.

The annual John Corner Memorial Golf Day took place earlier this week with 35 golfers raising more than £5,000 for St Luke’s Hospice.

The event featured different challenges including the longest drive, double your money and the nearest pin contest.

Organiser of the day Mary Willoughby said: “My experience of this event has been very good, and has been for the past 12 years.

“If I were to say to someone who was thinking of doing this event in the future I would say to come, it is great fun and it is a great cause to go and support.”

The money will go towards the running of St Luke’s which cares for terminally people in Harrow and Brent.
