A woman will be taking on a 52-mile challenge to raise money for deafblind children and adults.
Jackie Bowles, from Harrow, will be taking on the RidgeWalk on Saturday June 21 and Sunday June 22 for the national charity Sense.
The hike, which has to be completed in 24 hours, starts at midday and involves trekking throughout the night in order to cross the finish line by midday the following day.
Ms Bowles, who works for the charity, said: “Working at Sense for three years, I got to know the great work the charity does and the difference our services can make to the lives of those with sight and hearing impairments and their families alike.
“I’ve always wanted to run for Sense and do something different other than my job to show my support to the people we help.”
