A new administration will take control of Harrow Borough Council this week.
The Labour group won a majority in the local elections last month, taking 34 seats to the Conservative group's 26, with independents winning two and Lib Dems retaining their single seat.
At the council’s annual meeting on Thursday evening at Harrow Civic Centre, in Station Road, leader of the Labour party Cllr David Perry is expected to become the new leader of the council and appoint his cabinet.
The meeting will also see the appointment of the new mayor of Harrow, Labour councillor Ajay Maru.
