Families hit the streets for Pinner Fair
People young and old took to the streets to enjoy the delights of an annual charter fair.
Thousands enjoyed the candyfloss, rides and stalls of Pinner Fair today despite the poor weather.
The whole high street was closed for the annual event, which dates back to the 14th century and is protected by Royal Charter.
Families from across Harrow and beyond enjoyed the dodgems, a Ferris wheel and waltzers as well as food and drink stalls, tombolas and games.
Mother-of-two Hanli Johnston, who was at the fair for the first time, said: “I’m just amazed at how big it is and the children have really enjoyed themselves.
“It’s great there are so many rides for smaller children as well as older kids. It’s been a lot of fun for all of us.”
Fellow mother Claudette Crise said: “I have been down here a couple of times and it’s always a great day out for the children, especially during half term.”
