A planned three-day strike by tube staff on the London Underground has been cancelled.

Members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport union were due to walk out from 9pm tonight until Thursday, May 8.

Talks surrounding plans to close ticket offices on the London Underground stalled on Friday but a breakthrough was made at a meeting today.

Union bosses say the move will cause job losses, but London Underground insists enough staff have come forward for voluntary redundancy.
