A contest to find the best communal gardens in the borough has begun.

Harrow Borough Council has launched its annual Harrow Estates in Bloom competition to find the borough's best gardeners.

The competition is open to those living on council estates in Harrow, with five main categories including best estate communal garden, best front garden and best container or hanging basket display.

Peter Biggs, resident involvement team leader at Harrow Council, said: "This competition is a chance to make your estate the envy of your neighbourhood with a fantastic garden display.

"Hopefully, it will also see more neighbours coming together and making a real community effort to transform the area where they live.

"We can put you in touch with other residents if you wish to enter the communal category, so do get in touch and get involved."

Entries must be in by May 30 and those interested in taking part can do so by clicking here or calling 020 8420 9617/9233.
