A deal to allow a new school to be built on land currently used for playing fields will be discussed this evening.
Harrow Borough Council’s cabinet are due to agree plans for Avanti House School to use Whitchurch Playing Fields as its permanent home.
The meeting comes after the Education Funding Agency gave approval for the Avanti School trust to build on the site in Wemborough Road, Stanmore, earlier this week.
The cabinet will discuss arrangements for the lease of the site to the school trust, consent for the creation of a free school on the fields and proposals for continued community use of the fields.
