Six students from a college in Stanmore got a behind the scenes look at one of the biggest television broadcasters in the country.
The teenagers from Stanmore College, in Elm Park, attended a Sky Academy Skills session at Sky’s European TV Welcome Centre, in Brentford, as part of their BTEC Extended Diploma in creative media production.
Shivam Raval, Yasmin Roble, Sahra Bashir, Bailey Neish, Mirsada Ramcaj and Ladan Vahabpoor participated in the production of a multi-studio news programme, with guidance from Sky TV staff.
Stanmore’s students were encouraged to think on their feet, problem-solve and work as a team while being creative in putting the programme together and ensuring a set transmission deadline was met.
After the program had been put together everyone was given a copy of the show on a USB for their portfolios. It can be seen by all on Stanmore College's website www.stanmore.ac.uk
