Young members of a Mosque school held a bake sale to help raise more than £1,000 for a hospice charity.
Children at Harrow Central Mosque’s religious school, the Madrassa, sold cakes and held a collection after evening prayers last week.
They collected £1,130 for St Luke’s Hospice, which cares for terminally ill people in Harrow and Brent.
Earlier this month community team leader from the hospice Tim Todhunter gave a talk to the children at the Mosque.
After the visit the children also had to write an essay about the hospice and the work it does for sick people of all religions.
