A running club has joined forces with a hospice charity to help organise a family fundraising event.

St Luke’s Hospice has officially teamed up with the Sudbury Court Running Club to help organise the Run Wembley event in May.

The event, which is in its 15th year, includes two courses for people to run either 5km or 10km and runners taking part will be encouraged to raise money for the hospice.

Run Director, Louis Smyth said: “Sudbury Court Running Club has always supported different charities.

“The hospice is a local and popular charity and the members are enthused by the cause because they have had family who have received their care.

“Last year we had made a donation to St Luke’s and decided to make a more formal link by partnering up with them with our Run Wembley event.

“St Luke’s is a fantastic local organisation. It is a good chance for people to do something fun and positive at the same time, so come and have a go.”
