Hundreds of staff at the headquarters of a national convenience store raised almost £1,500 for a charity which protects children against cruelty.
People who work at the SPAR UK headquarters in Harrow donated £1,474 to the NSPCC’s ChildLine Schools Service.
The money was fundraised by taking part in a special ‘Stop for tea’ event in November.
For a small donation, staff enjoyed a cuppa and home baked goodies, as well as hosting a range of fundraising games and raffles.
The event was part of a national week of ‘Stop for tea’ activities hosted by SPAR stores across the UK which took place between November 16 and 24.
