Singer A*M*E volunteers at Radio Northwick Park
As a pop star she's used to being behind the microphone, but A*M*E had a different audience when she volunteered at a hospital radio station.
The singer, who featured on the number one single Need U (100 per cent), visited Radio Northwick Park to help promote youth volunteering.
She was also there to film a short documentary for channel 4Music, and spoke to patients on a visit to the wards.
Volunteers co-ordinator Jade Wight said: "It was a wonderful opportunity to have A*M*E volunteer with Radio Northwick Park for the evening.
“It was a pleasure to show her the work we do and to introduce her to some of the patients we directly affect.
“I really hope that young people watching A*M*E volunteer with us will be inspired to help their local community.”
Radio Northwick Park broadcasts to patients throughout the hospital 24 hours a day and has more than 150 volunteers who visit patients every day.
The station, a registered charity, has been in operation for more than 40 years and is run entirely by volunteers.
