Harrow in Leaf show on this week
A two-day festival for budding gardeners and families will be taking place this Bank Holiday weekend.
The annual Harrow in LEAF Horticultural show and fun day will be taking place on Sunday August 25 and Monday August 26.
Gardeners will be taking part in the annual show which is now in its ninth year, at the Harrow Museum and Heritage Centre, in Pinner View, Headstone.
The event has been run by horticultural group Harrow in Leaf after the Harrow Show stopped in 2004.
During the two days there will be an exhibition marquee with displays of fruits, vegetables, flowers, crafts, paintings, ciders and wines all made by people from in and around Harrow.
There will also be a display from Harrow Beekeepers where people will be able to find out more about the importance of bees.
For this year’s event there will be special people’s choice category with the theme celebrating 150 years of London Underground.
There will also be activities for children of all ages including a bouncy castle, fairground rides, petting zoo and storytelling and songs on the Bank Holiday Monday.
Entry for the day costs £2.50 and children under 12 get in free.
