A Harrow councillor will be in Dudley Road on Monday to offer residents a method of marking property so it can be easily traced if stolen.
Councillor Simon Williams, Conservative councillor for Harrow-on-the-Hill, will be in Dudley Road from 5.30pm.
He will offer residents the SmartWater property marking system which allows items to be uniquely marked so they are easier to trace and harder to sell if stolen.
SmartWater consists of a liquid containing a code which can only be read under ultraviolet light.
Cllr Williams said: “Given SmartWater is so versatile it can be used on just about any type of material – even the lead on roofs.
“So, on Monday evening I’ll be in Dudley Road to arrange SmartWater deliveries for any residents there who would like it.
“I’ll also be joined by a police officer who will be able to provide advice on keeping property safe and secure.”
