Harrow Borough Council asks people to comment on climate change plan

Harrow Borough Council is asking people to comment on its proposed strategy for tackling climate change.

The strategy aims to support low carbon forms of transport, to ensure that flood risks are minimised and to ensure that council buildings and homes are energy efficient.

Now it is giving people until January 28 to express their opinions.

Councillor Phillip O’Dell, Harrow Council’s portfolio holder for environment and community safety, said: “I would encourage all of our residents to submit their views on our proposals.

“The Council is committed to keeping our borough clean, green and safe.

“However the success of our plans depends on the whole community taking the threat of climate change seriously and, together, making the changes that are necessary.”

Stop wasting money on climate change, sort out harrows issues first that matter to most ordinary working people instead of being so out of touch.
