ENGLAND'S appearance in the 2018 World Cup semi-final tomorrow will mark the third time the nation has made it to the last four.

At Italia 1990 they lost to West Germany on penalties, but there will be many out there who can't remember or aren't aware who England beat in the semi-final of the 1966 tournament on home turf.

On that occasion, England saw off Portugal 2-1.

Here are some photos from that match which featured the legendary Portuguese striker Eusebio. He scored one goal with Bobby Charlton bagging two for England to send them into the final against West Germany.

England, as everyone surely knows, won 4-2 to lift the trophy.
