Festival marks North Harrow church's 75th anniversary

Paintings, local history and classic cars will be on display this weekend at a North Harrow church celebrating its 75th anniversary.

The Parish Church of St Alban, in The Ridgeway, was consecrated in 1937 and is marking the milestone with its Jewels of Metroland Festival until Sunday.

Classic cars and bicycles from each decade of the 75 years since the church was built will be on display in the car park, while paintings, and church vestments and history will be on display inside.

Entertainment today at the event, which runs from 10am-5pm and will be visited by Mayor of Harrow Nizam Ismail, will be provided by musicians and morris dancers.
