Workers living in Harrow earn £7 a week less than the London average, figures show.

In 2011, full-time employees in Harrow earned an average of £603.20 a week, compared to £610.20 across the capital, according to figures released by the Office for National Statistics.

The average gross weekly pay for a full-time worker in Great Britain as a whole was £503.10.

The statistics also show that men in Harrow earn significantly more than their female counterparts.

The average gross weekly pay of a male full-time worker in the borough in 2011 was £574.50, compared to a female average of £417.50.

This trend was mirrored in the rest of London where the average male weekly wage was £649 and the female equivalent was £569.30.

Surely skewed by the high wages of the City and inner London? I'd expect all of the suburbs to be slightly lower

where do they get these figures from? I live in harrow and nobody has asked me how much I earn!
