Four men from Wembley have been charged with racially or religiously aggravated public order offences.

Mohammed Khalfia, 19, Haider Al-Fardan, 21, Mohammed Jawad, 20, and Aimen Mohamed, 19, were charged with a total of 12 separate offences.

The charges followed accusations that in December 2011 members of the public had eggs thrown at them and were subjected to racist, or otherwise offensive, comments in Golders Green and Hendon.

All four men were bailed to appear at Hendon Magistrates court on February 24.
