The Queen will visit Harrow on the first day of her Jubilee tour of Britain in March.
In Her Majesty’s first visit to the borough in almost eight years, the Queen will attend a specially commissioned community event at a local school on Thursday, March 29.
She will be accompanied by the Duke of Edinburgh for the visit, which is being organised by Harrow Council in partnership with schools and community organisations from around the borough.
The event will pay tribute to the Queen’s six decades on the throne.
Cllr Bill Stephenson, Leader of Harrow Council, said: "We are incredibly honoured and excited that Harrow is one of only three North London boroughs the Queen will visit to mark the Diamond Jubilee.
"It will be a wonderful opportunity for Harrow residents to pay tribute to her extraordinary reign and share in the celebrations.
"Harrow is one of the most diverse boroughs in the UK and one of the most united communities in London, a place where people of all backgrounds, ages and abilities get on well together."
