Banners designed by schoolchildren have gone on display in North Harrow to try and encourage shoppers to visit.
Sixth-formers from Nower Hill High School, in George V Avenue, Pinner, and pupils from Longfield Primary School, in Dukes Avenue, North Harrow, helped design the banners that feature pictures celebrating the area.
The banners went on display along North Harrow shopping parade to encourage people to shop locally.
The project was paid for by Harrow Council and also partly funded by the Mayor of London’s outer London Fund, to help revitalise the area.
Marilyn Goodwin, from Longfield Primary School, said: “Staff and students at Nower Hill were so patient and helpful in giving their time and expertise and our pupils found this useful and rewarding.
“We all feel very proud to have been involved with the project and think the banners are outstanding.”
