POLICE made five arrests in a dawn crackdown on robbery this morning.
Officers from the Harrow Crime Squad detained three men at a house in Burnt Oak Broadway at around 7.30am.
An 18-year-old boy suspected of three different robberies in late July and early August was arrested shortly afterwards at an address in The Meadow Way, Harrow Weald.
He is accused of snatching high value Indian gold jewellery and selling it on at a Wealdstone pawn shop.
The arrests, three on suspicion of robbery, one on suspicion of handling stolen goods and one for criminal damage and assault on a police officer, were part of Operation Chappell, a summer drive against street crime.
