GREEN-FINGERED residents got together for the borough's biggest horticultural show of the year over the bank holiday weekend.
Harrow in Leaf, in Headstone Manor, Pinner View, saw vegetables and flowers from gardens and allotments across the area presented in a series of contests with trophies handed to the winners.
The event was opened by local Queen Elizabeth II look-a-like Mary Reynolds on Sunday at noon, and visitors battled through despite the rain.
The event, which also hosted an array of charity stalls and a stand selling wax and honey made by the Harrow Beekeepers Association, finished yesterday.
Derrick Osbourne, chairman and show manager of Harrow in Leaf, said: “It went very well. Sunday wasn't brilliant because of the weather but yesterday we had a very good day.
“The standard was very good and we had more or less the same number of entries as last year.”
