Heroin and cocaine charges after Weald Stone Inn raid

FOUR men have been charged after police raided a pub in Harrow Weald.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police's territorial support group descended on the Weald Stone Inn on Friday night and made five arrests on suspicion of drugs possession.

Following investigations over the weekend, three men have been charged with possession of class A drugs.

Delwin Daniel, 46, of Christchurch Avenue, Wealdstone, has been bailed to appear at Harrow Magistrates on Friday charged with possession of cocaine.

Lee Raper, 33, of Whitefriars Avenue, Harrow Weald, is also due before magistrates on Thursday accused of possession of cocaine, and is currently out on bail.

Graham Bowden, 27, of Bancroft Gardens, Harrow Weald, was charged with possession of heroin and amphetamine and has been bailed to appear at Harrow Magistrates Court on Thursday.

A fourth man, Jason Peka, 34, of The Heights, Northolt, was arrested on suspicion of obstructing a police officer and has been bailed to appear at Harrow Magistrates Court, also on Thursday.

Police also issued a fixed penalty notice to a 17-year-old for being drunk and disorderly at the High Road pub.

Bosses, who only recently took over the pub, agreed to shut down for the night following the raid, which involved around 60 officers from Harrow and the Met's central division.
