HARROW could be hit with another wave of snow and freezing temperatures at the end of this week.
The Met Office has issued a severe weather warning of snowfall across the south east of England, including London, on Thursday and Friday this week.
Temperatures as low as -6 degrees have been predicted with up to 15cm of snow in places.
The warning comes hot on the heels of a prolonged bout of snow and icy conditions last month which stretched public services to breaking point.
Harrow's main roads were kept clear through the snowy period, but a lack of grit across the country caused many schools to close and disrupted services including bin collections and special needs transport.
The freezing conditions left Harrow Council facing a £2m bill for damage to the borough's roads, more than double the cost of fixing the potholes during the snow in February 2009.
