A QUEENSBURY pensioner hit by a car in Kenton has died in hospital.
Dorothy Spires, 84, of Chelthenham Place, was hit by a blue Suzuki Swift while crossing Kenton Road, near the junction with Gooseacre Lane, on Thursday, August 13, at around 12.45pm.
She was rushed to hospital by air ambulance but died on Tuesday last week.
Sergeant Chris Osborne, who is heading the investigation, said: “Kenton Road is a really busy thoroughfare, so there must have been numerous people around who might have witnessed this collision.”
A post-mortem was held at Northwick Park Mortuary on Friday and an inquest was opened and adjourned at Hornsey Coroners Court.
The driver stopped at the scene and has co-operated with the police investigation.
No arrests have been made.
