The Mayor of Harrow celebrated unity and diversity when she hoisted the colours to mark Commonwealth Day.
Cllr Margaret Davine, marked Commonwealth Day with a flag raising in front of the Harrow Civic Centre on March 12 at 10am.
Other countries in the Americas, the Caribbean, Asia, Africa, Europe and the Pacific reaffirmed their commitment to the Commonwealth Charter in like fashion.
Cllr Davine, said she enjoyed the day.
“I am pleased to have raised the flag this morning, supporting this year’s national ‘Fly a Flag for the Commonwealth’ project," she said.
"Today recognises the importance and the value of the Commonwealth, a club of sovereign states joined by a shared history and respect.
"I hope this fosters greater understanding among Commonwealth citizens.”
