Elton John, watching his beloved Watford FC
Sir Elton John took to social media to deliver the “sad” news of the death of his mother, Sheila Farebrother on December 4.
The singer, who grew up in Pinner, shared a picture of him alongside her and wrote: “So sad to say that my mother passed away this morning.
“I only saw her last Monday and I am in shock. Travel safe Mum. Thank you for everything. I will miss you so much. Love, Elton.”
Ms Farebrother was 92 years old. She and her son had only recently got back in touch after years of estrangement due to a family rift.
