A man who was found with £200,000 worth of cocaine has been jailed for five years.

Kledian Semaj, 30, of no fixed address, was caught taking part in a drug deal earlier this year.

After being stopped by police, he immediately admitted to carrying drugs and was found with two kilos of cocaine, as well as fake IDs.

He was sentenced at Harrow Crown Court to seven years’ imprisonment for the possession of Class A drugs with the intent to supply.

This was reduced to four years and eight months due to a guilty plea which, in addition to the four months for possessing false documents, means he will spend five years behind bars.

DC Paul Fuller, from the Met’s Organised Crime Command, said the sentence will make those involved with drugs think twice when it comes to dealing.

He said: “The sentence reflects the level of criminality involved and should be seen as a deterrent for others who think they can supply drugs without consequences.

“A huge amount of cocaine is now off the streets where it cannot damage local communities.”
